Cocculus is a homeopathic remedy traditionally considered when nausea, dizziness, exhaustion and the effects of prolonged sleeplessness or emotional strain are prominent. It is particularly associated with states of depletion where both the body and mind feel worn down.

Traditionally considered for

• Motion sickness and nausea, particularly when travelling by car, boat or train, with dizziness, vomiting or cold sweats.

• Physical and mental exhaustion, especially following prolonged exertion, interrupted sleep or sustained periods of stress, with a feeling of being completely drained and difficulty concentrating.

• Vertigo and unsteadiness, particularly where dizziness or a spinning sensation is brought on by movement, turning the head or standing up.

• Emotional strain and sleep deprivation, especially during periods of prolonged worry, caregiving or disrupted sleep, where ongoing demands leave a person feeling mentally and physically exhausted.

• Morning sickness, traditionally considered during pregnancy when nausea and vomiting are aggravated by movement or getting up in the morning.
