Colocynthis is a homeopathic remedy traditionally considered for intense, cramping or cutting pain, particularly where symptoms are relieved by firm pressure, warmth or bending the body forward.

Traditionally considered for

• Abdominal cramps and colic, particularly where the pain is sharp, gripping or cutting, with a tendency to curl up, bend double or writhe in response to the discomfort.

• Irritability during intense pain, where severe discomfort is accompanied by agitation, frustration or a short temper.

• Digestive discomfort and bloating, especially where cramping, trapped wind or abdominal pressure is relieved by warmth, firm pressure, bending forward or passing gas.

• Cramping muscle and joint pain, particularly affecting the lower back, hips or limbs, where the discomfort has a sharp or stabbing quality and is eased by warmth and pressure.
